female student on campus

Let’s be honest, college is all about eating delicious, unhealthy food from the dining commons, staying up late to cram for tests, getting dolled up for house parties and dance clubs, and—no matter how much you say it won’t happen—rolling out of bed ten minutes before class. On top of that, the body is experiencing natural biological and hormonal changes at this age, not to mention, as fun as it can be, college can get pretty stressful. Sounds like the perfect cocktail for skin problems, huh? That’s because it is. The good thing is there are a few steps you can take to ensure the health of your skin.

Invest in a Cute Water Bottle
Whether it keeps liquid cold for hours or matches your backpack, invest in a water bottle you like and bring it everywhere with you. Having a full water bottle right in front of you will encourage you to stay hydrated.

Use Sunscreen
Although classes are held inside, chances are you’ll be walking across campus throughout the day. As you make your way from one building to the next, the sun has time to target your skin. As a fresher, sunscreen might not seem like a big deal, but by the time you’re a senior you’ll notice sun spots.

Clean Your Phone
Think of all the places you’ve used your phone in the last day—every place you’ve sent a text, made a call, posted a snap, scrolled through your feed. Cell phones get gross, please don’t make us beg, just clean it.

Remove Your Makeup
Every. Single. Night. No matter how tired you are, you should never go to bed without a clean face. Keep a pack of makeup removing wipes by your bed, this way you have no excuse.
