We all know how important getting enough exercise is to keep our bodies in good shape. Exercising makes your body ready to face physical challenges which may otherwise be too wearing when you lack proper exercise. However, I know that not all of us have time to spare—what with our busy lifestyles and other preoccupations. This is why I took some time to search for some simple exercise routines which would only take 15 minutes from your day. Fifteen minutes is not too much, and you’ll be doing your body a great favor when you work out!

exercises for busy people

  • Warm up by having some cardio exercises. You can jog around your house for about two minutes, do some jumping jacks, or use a jumping rope to get your blood pumping.
  • Think of the areas you would most like to tone. If you want leaner legs, consider doing lunges or squats. About 15 repetitions for each leg would be good. If you would like to have toned arms, you can begin lifting 3-pound weights twenty to thirty times per arm, or do some pushups if you can support your body weight.
  • A lot of people would love to have a sexy flat tummy. To do this, you should have core exercises in your 15-minute routine. Good exercises would be crunches, reverse crunches, and planking. Planking is actually a very effective core exercise especially when you learn to hold it for much longer!

Now for some 15-minute routines you can easily do at home with little to no exercise equipment:

exercises for busy people

  • 10 pushups, 25 crunches, 25 squats, 30 lunges, 50 jumping jacks, and 60-second wall squats. You can do this 3 times and it would take about 16-18 minutes.
  • One minute of jumping jacks, one minute planking, 10 pushups, 30 squats, 20 reverse crunches or crunches. This set can be done 2-3 times, and works great for achieving a flat tummy.

You can do your own routine but remember to work all major muscle groups namely your arms, legs, and core muscles. Take 10-second rests in between every exercise type, and you’ll be on your way to having a fit body through your 15-minute daily exercise!
