Let’s start by talking about the most important aspect of any skincare line: the ingredients that have been used. These can quickly make or break a product. If you know your ingredients, a quick glance at a product’s ingredient list will immediately tell you how well it’s going to work for your skin.

So, what are some of the cutting-edge ingredients that you’ll find in the Lavelier Marine Collection? While there are too many to list them all, here are some of our favorites:

  • Coral seaweed extract – this is Lavelier’s signature ingredient, to be found in all of the brand’s products. It’s exceptionally hydrating while also loaded with antioxidants.
  • Caffeine – a game-changing ingredient when used around the eyes, which is likely why it has been included in the Lavelier Eye Firming Concentrate.
  • Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate – a highly stable form of vitamin C. This enables it to retain its potency for much longer than other forms of the antioxidant.
  • Soluble collagen – a great ingredient for keeping the skin barrier feeling supported.
  • Retinyl palmitate – a gentle yet effective form of vitamin A that’s more widely tolerated than other vitamin A derivatives.

Many of the skincare products currently in the limelight focus on stimulating the skin in some way. There’s nothing wrong with this, but it’s important to also ensure that hydrating your skin is a priority. Without enough hydration, none of the other ingredients/products that you apply will be able to work to their full potential. Thankfully, Lavelier has taken this into account with the Marine skincare line. 

Each product in the Marine Collection has been formulated with a blend of hydrating ingredients. You’ll find some of the industry’s most popular hydrating compounds in these products – sodium hyaluronate being one. In the Coral Smooth + Hydrate Neck & Chest Mask, sodium hyaluronate is joined by a few other hydrating ingredients, which is how this mask is able to quickly give the skin a plumper and fuller finish. 

Ease and Convenience

Let’s face it, skincare can sometimes be inconvenient, especially when it comes to face masks. Many of the face masks out there come with pretty complex usage instructions. These are often enough to put skincare newbies off, resulting in them missing out on the various benefits that a face mask can provide.

Lavelier’s neck and chest masks, however, are very different. These masks fit seamlessly onto the neck and chest area (the masks for the neck are shaped differently from the masks for the chest). Once on, the mask is left for 15-20 minutes. After the mask is removed, it leaves behind a silky serum that can then be massaged into the skin. This doubles up on the effects that the mask has.
